1) Sift dry ingredients together and place in a bowl.
2) Melt butter in a ramekin and allow to cool. Mix wet ingredients together and then add cooled butter to the mixture.
Poor wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined. This is where you would add any additions to the batter such as cheese or fresh herbs. Either scoop into greased/lined muffin tins or into a loaf pan. Bake for either 25 minutes for muffins or 30 minutes for a loaf.
