Hello everyone and welcome back to another post! Today I am going to show you some of the photos I shot while hiking in Glenwood Springs at Hanging Lake. Spring is finally here and I am SO EXCITED. I really do not prefer winter. I am from a dessert so snow and ice are not really my friend. I thought this post would be an awesome introduction to the end of the winter season and sort of a celebration of the beginning of spring/summer!
I hope you enjoy the pictures I took last summer on my first trip to Glenwood Springs, CO. I took these as we hiked up the canyon to the actual lake called Hanging Lake. It was a super hot day and this hike was difficult and I am not an amateur hiker. Hanging Lake is a popular hike and tourist attraction in the Rocky Mountains and it has been on my list of hikes that I needed to do before I left Colorado. Be prepared for a hike straight up a mountain and bring lots of water! ???? P.S. the parking lot at the trailhead is rather small so either make sure to go during the week during nonpeak times or go super early in the morning to be able to grab a parking spot. If they do not have any parking at the trailhead they will divert you back to Glenwood Springs where you can rent bikes to bike down to the trailhead.
This is part of a two-part post…. check out my Aspen post here! I have listed all of the places that we went, ate and saw in Aspen and the surrounding area so make sure to take a look! Happy Spring Everyone! ????
