Hey guys! My name is Lizzy and welcome to my pastry and travel blog, My Daily Knead! I am so happy that you took a minute to click over to my corner of the internet. This is where I (and hopefully we!) will have fun practicing pastry and learning the ins and outs of savvy traveling.
This blog will be dedicated to documenting my travels, my life, and most importantly some awesome baking projects. I created My Daily Knead after years of going back and forth with the idea of starting a blog. I wanted to make sure that if I ever did dive in and commit that it would be something that I would enjoy enough to make it a lifelong job. I follow a lot of food blogs for inspiration but I never ran across a pastry blog that also focused on travel as well, which are two of my absolute favorite things in this entire world. I have a huge passion to go see the world and I believe traveling can truly transform who you are as a person. In the end, I saw my niche appear right before my eyes and My Daily Knead was born!
A little backstory on who I am…
I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but I currently reside in beautiful Denver, CO. I have had a love to bake since I could eat solid foods and have been living in kitchens ever since! I spent my whole life wanting to go to culinary school and I finally had the chance after I graduated high school. I made the bold move to move to a city I barely even knew at the time to go after a degree in pastry. I graduated JWU with an Associate Degree in Pastry Arts from Johnson and Wales University and I could not have had a greater experience. Fast forward a couple of years, if you were to run into me in Denver you would probably find me either going on a run, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, or grabbing a bite with my husband!
Now onto the serious stuff…
If you are interested in using my photography or work to feature on your own blog/website please include a link back to my blog in your post and as always give credit where credit is due. All recipes are my own or otherwise noted.
Please do not just use my photos and call them yours. That is called stealing and it is definitely not cool. I created this blog as a safe and fun place for all foodies to come to enjoy and share recipes/pastry info. As such any negativity, bullying or rude comments will not be tolerated and will be deleted immediately. The internet can sometimes be a very hostile place and I have no patience for that behavior. Now that is said enjoy my blog and feel free to reach out with any suggestions or questions! Any business inquiries can be sent to [email protected]
